I applied for my wife EAD renewal on May 3, 2010 at Dalls Lock Box Office, following is the message i got from USCIS today:
Your USCIS application/petition has been received and routed to the California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number
WAC12345678901223. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit USCIS Home Page (http://www.uscis.gov) where you can check the status of your application using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.
I live in NY and I am not sure why they teansfered it to California. My original I-485 receipt is from california, may be thats why, not sure !!!!!!

Hi,
At last, our priority dates are current.
Now, we have to go and submit Medical Examination Results.
My Wife is pregnant and I was told by my friends that it is not a good idea to get her immunized (vaccines) now. She might probably have taken most of them back in INDIA.
Is there a way we can apply for I-485 and get EID's without her immunization record? (I will have mine). I am sure there are others who are in the same boat.
Please advice.

You missed two points:
Can you please update your profile.
And you said "As some of you know...." . Were you trying in these lines before too. Can you direct me to any one of your forums more than 2 months old where we can see what you did before.
Trust me, in the past we knew of some guys who tried to distract the forum attention with proposals of doing somethings in the lines as you have said. Their goal is to distract and divert attention.
Not that we do not trust you, but we expect you have atleast your profile updated.
What do you do, when you come across someone who says I can get you a big job done for you, as I have contacts.. Not blindly trust, right.. We also check he his credentials. I am to some extent doing that, to be frank, not that everyone has profiles here with real information.
I told about you to my friends, and they asked me "Why do we trust him, dont you think he may be a Canadian who is trying to distract these innocent Indians and hence make sure they remain in backlogs"...
I think you and your friends become Paranoid... your each and every post is convincing me that. If you don’t trust anyone including the IV...why don’t you and your great friends lead the effort. It’s always easy to finger point, suspect and criticize others for whatever reason... Please don’t deviate from the original topic. We are here for long time and know what totoro is doing for this community. I request you to refrain from posting anything like this if you are not able to add anything useful to the thread and community. It is doing more harm than good...

You made very good points. May I suggest we ask members to call on the phone too if they're busy? This actually worked in delaying the first Bailout in 2009, when they received numerous calls.
Customer service reps do this for hours everyday in some places.
We have had phone and email campaigns in the past. Phone campaigns work the best when a specific bill is being debated and there is the target 2-3 days campaign. The rest of the time, person-to person presentation is the best.

I guess chance for 1st and 2nd option are high. And, this would answer Ramba's question how EB3 for India would get approval for PD 2003. There are very few 2001 PDs left (per me). Relatively more 2002 and most of 2001 and 2002 are pending due to name check else they would have got their GC during July and USCIS would not have returned VISA numbers back to DOS nor some numbers would have finally got wasted (FY2007).
So next PD would be 2003 (and there are very few 2003 filings that were filed before June 2007).

It is good to see the combined Immigration community efforts are bringing results. However, it appears that no attention is being paid to raise the issue of children ageing out because of visa retrogression and delay in labor clearance. The Child Status Protection Act(CSPA) passed in the year 2002 hardly provides any relief to I-140 based immigration petitions. While for I-130 (for US Citizens) applicants the date of child is frozen on the date of submission of I-130 form it-self, but for employment based immigrant applicants this Act provides a complicated way to calculate the child�s age and it just provides relief for any processing delays in 1-140 clearance only. It just ignores the fact that we have years of retrogression for employment-based category. At the time when this act was passed there was no retrogression in employment-based category and lawmakers perhaps never thought of hardship, which children and families may face because of the retrogression.
We need to raise our voice on this issue too. My son is going to miss out the chance of getting his green card just because his age works out as per formula given in CSPA Act to be 21 years and 12 days � because of 12 days my family may be penalized to be separated from our child whereas no one is going to consider 3 years delay in labor case in my case and then another 13 months we have to wait for filing 1485 after approval of I-140. Mine case was the most unfortunate in the sense that I got my I-140 approval in just 29 days whereas in all cases the normal time is 3-6 months. Had it taken 2 months, my son would have got the benefit under CSPA.
I hope some one from Immigration Voice leadership team will take a lead to highlight such issues also before the law makers.

My EAD is expiries on 08/24/2010. What is the best time or when can start renewal process? is it ok, if If I apply on04/29/2010. it will be less than 120 days only.

Congratulations on clearing your first hurdle. I talked to my attorney today and she said that audit reply was on March 11th, and need to wait 4 months before we can contact the DOL about the follow-up. Need to wait 2 more months.

Labor filed in Aug 2002, approved after 6 years in June 2007. Meanwhile, our son aged out in June 2004. Daughter turned 21 today, and her I-485 adjustment application is in the July 2 logjam.
The DREAM Act can be a solution for our son, but some of the versions were made applicable to only illegal immigrants. We have to be careful to read the details whenever the next version makes its headway in the Congress.
I honestly do not hold out much hope for the dream act giving any benefit to legal children, and also doubt it will pass anyway.
Lets see what we can achieve as a group, if we get enough people to agree to help us

You can just take the 5-10 lines from the report which shows wasted visa numbers from the past years and send it to all lawmakers from all states asking for visa number recapture legislation
I think its just one small paragraph the lawmakers have to insert - They can attach it to any major upcoming bill - This does not create additional numbers or change the existing laws in a big way.
