I think the reason that we do not have many members is that many people go to the website immigration voice and as the access is avaliable to read all posts without a log in and password they read and never want to become a member.
do u think this can be one of the reasons.

No. The I-129 is submitted by your employer. Your leaving the country does not affect the H1 petition.
Only the COS will not be automatic in October, and you will need to get stamping or re-submit I-539 to validate your H1.

How do you know that US masters degree dont need to work for consulting firms?
Do US masters degree holders work for Deloitte? IBM Global Services? Accenture? KPMG? Price Water House Coopers?
What about Oracle consulting services? What about TRW? Bearingpoint?
All these are consulting companies or the divisions of consulting companies. Both US degree holders and the non-US degree holding duffers like myself work in consulting firms(I dont anymore since 2003). In fact, I have had my classmates from India have to look for consulting jobs after they did MS in computer science from USA.
You are under the impression that the bill is outlawing desi consulting firms and firms that exploit.
The bill outlaws OUTPLACEMENT. And the bill applies to all firms, desi firms and the big 5 consulting firms and your IBM, TRW ... everyone.

And although I am the last one to engage in US-degree versus non-US degree and Masters Versus Non-Masters fueds, I am tempted to say that US masters or US degree isnt worth a bucket of warm spit when the market is bad.
When the market is really bad, like it was in 2001 and 2002, I have seen many Masters degree holders pack up and throw in the towel and I have seen many individuals with degrees from private Tier 3 university from India survive just fine in an environment where there were 80 resumes for each IT job. The US masters degree holders, particularly with computer masters degrees with their courses in useless subjects like "assembly level programming" and their binary math didnt do squat for them while looking for jobs during recession times and could not stand competition from bachelor's degree holders from Tier 3 university from India who had done 6 month course in NIIT.
However if you are proud of your US degree and US masters, suit yourself. But dont say things like "I dont need consulting". Coz you really do and so do thousands of others having US degrees.
This H1B drama has really brought out the "indian" in each one of us (you). God Forbid, some of the anti-immigrant agencies see this, we will no face to fight.
To say something like what logiclife has said only brings out the true face of the some people behind immigrationvoice.org. It all boils down to "who has a US degree and who hasnt"..well, Mr logiclife, You dont know the value of a US degree simply because you dont have one! I want my GC as much as some people here without a US degree, but to classify a US degree as being the same as "warm spit" is just plain "uneducated". This thread is already making everyone nervous. The updates in immigration-law and also from many other attorneys might be based on the updates they get from AILA email alerts/updates. There is also a link in aila.org with title “Update on Rejection of June “Other Worker” Adjustment Applications and What This Means for July” I do not have access to review the entire article. Also EW category PD is at OCT 2001 for June and not sure if there were so many cases with that early PD and those petition was not accepted due to unavailability of the visa numbers. But this incident is reported in multiple sites and this made everyone nervous that the same might happen with all the EB applications now.
Also not that all applications will be filed on first day/week of July, even though most of us get the papers to attorney’s by now, I think they will file only a limited number of applications everyday. Some big law firms have already instructed the clients to not to send the documents until specifically requested by the attorney assigned for the individual cases and the email states around mid July time frame to process the application.
There might be a fair chance the available visa numbers are consumed in early July or within July , Since making the VB Dates current for all categories makes me believe they would most likely accept the petitions for entire July in spite of the visa number availability until July end at least. Making VB all dates current for all categories in spite knowing the Backlog elimination center cleared a large number of LCA and with the number of PERM approvals available, and retrogression since couple of years, USCIS/ DOS / etc. will not be surprised with the number of petitions they will receive. So at least for July we can hope to be safe. We cannot change anything with regards to this and have to deal with this.

How can you deposit 401Km money to Ninja Trader, Your employer might offer one of top asset management company not Ninja.
Could you let us know what was your trading capital on which you made 4.25% return last year...
You are mixing two things. Ninja is software for charting. It supports add-on indicators in c# language.
I use Ninja software for making trading decisions for my futures trading account. Also, it helps me making decision to enter and exit Index based funds for 401(k) and IRA accounts.
For futures trading, I use short term chart setups whereas I use long term setups for index direction.
Hope it helps.

9 years oh my god... I read on one of these threads(May be threads for US students), a person is waiting since 2002. He has done his PHD from here and has children in colleges.
He went to extend his visa stamp to india, and they refused becuase the consulate asked him to wait till a decision on his case is made, then upon that decision they will give him a visa or not.
As per Pappu this is the only year... We have to do it this time by hook or my crook. All our provision should be met.
1) People waiting with I-485 get more visas to get GC.
2) People waiting to apply for I-485 should be allowed.
3) People should have the AC21 portability available so that they can leave their desi companies that torture them.
4) People with Master's Degree should also get priveledge.
5) Let their dream be fullfilled too (Increase in H1-B :D )

There maybe actions such as sending emails etc. However we would not be able to open a public action item unless we can have thousands of our members willing to participate in a grassroots action item. This survey intends to understand the needs of our membership for this provision and collect grassroots information.
The fact is we have a dedicated group of volunteers (and we need more) who have been trying their best to spread the message about this initiative so that a strong grass-roots support can be created leading up to launch of the public action items. So far we have around 1100 people who have responded.
