I just dont get it. A.R Rehman has been doing amazing work for ages now and it needed a British movie to take him to the world stage. Really, his work in Dil Se...was way better than what he did in Slumdog.
Bollywood sucks and how!!! They need to figure out how they can take their cinema to the world audience. They've been failing miserably in promoting their movies in the west. Americans welcome change and encourage talent always and our bollywood producers/directors need to tap that.

Any way, I think you don't need IV's (for that matter any organization's support) to file a law suit. If you think USCIS is breaking the law, you can file a law suit with the help of a lawyer. A couple of $100 is all that would cost you.

We need to get laws to help us and we need support groups like IV to make that happen. Or else we can pray to God to shower some green.

Hello Gurus,
I am also in the same situation. Last week, My desi employer gave me a deadline to find a project after which he will lay me off. On the same day my concurrently filed I-140(July 07 filed) was approved. I have also applied for EAD renewal. My approved H-1B petition has two more years. Now I am focussed more on finding a full time position. If I get one, should I ask the new company to transfer my H-1B visa or should I be using the EAD once I get it? What do you Gurus recommend? Any information on this will be really helpful for me in making up my mind.

I am a Chemical Engineer ( 16 years in India as a Senior Guy + more than 5 years in US )
I am a founder team member of a high technology advanced material company, created with the help from a VC & active support of local congressman. i came in thru newark...she asked me 'who paroled you' - it took me forever to understand that she meant which firm filed the parole application. then she further explained that she meant which firm filed the 485 and if i was still with them. i just told her i switched firms since i had EAD and that was it. it took about an hour in total

I appllied on May 12 and did FP on May 31, besides one LUD on July 1st, nothing has happened as of yet. I opened a service request but I ma not expecting anything to happen. Mine expires in Oct., so I still have some more time.

The people who wants to be a part of American Society should first definately be a very open minded towards all cultures and social trends.
Other thing to be Indian or representing Indian traditions is not a crime but certainly every time barking against anything Indian may certainly be a crime as it is a clear indication of closed door or prejudicial mind towards one particular country and culture. Americans do not mind if one shows that he is Indian now and want to become in American future. Although they prefer that AND that is why they label Jindal as Indian-American although he born in USA. If there are majority Indians on IV board, it is not a crime but it is obvious. Some of my chienese friends on IV board may start thread for wishing chienese festival, I bet most Indians on this board will welcome and same goes with Muslim friends on IV board. Starting and wishing ED MUBARAK thread (By the way that is also a Indian tradition..And I am proud of that too) is not a crime and by now if nobody started it does not mean other people may not welcome it. If you are a Muslim, start the thread for ED Mubarak, I will be the first to welcome that step. You want to be American,, right? The hard part about a consulting position in your scenario is the ability to keep your project pipeline flowing.
If you are in a field like say SAP where the demand is always there, its easier to market yourself without too much effort.
My personal opinion, note your skillsets, see if they are hot in the market and if so, keep your options flexible and try to market directly. If you are not comfortable networking or being in constant touch with resources that can help you with an opportunity, then consult under a firm...

EB3-India cannot be discriminated.
Anyone in EB3 after 2-3 years waiting is qualified under EB2-I. And we see people waiting for much more. How can we be discriminated then. We have to do something.
And exactly how is India being discriminated? Do you have proof that they are giving India less visas than the per country limit?

In my case, the request was processed at the local branch. I don't recall seeing an option on ICICI to do the wire transfer. But assuming there is, you should give that a shot. You might have better luck at the branch though .... RBI has the so called KYC - Know Your Customer rules for all banks and that may give you some leeway.
Did you mean the local ICICI branch ? I would appreciate if you could let me know the process that you followed to get the money from India.
