I was on OPT for certain amount of time. But my H1B was approved during my 6th month of OPT . So unless there is any mention of future starting date on your H1B approval notice, you stand to loose the OPT and will be on H1B the moment you receive your receipt number. The REF does not matter at all as you have the receipt number and if you feel confident to deal with your reference.

All,
I submitted my first application on July 2nd. since I did not get receipt notice till Aug 16th so I filled the second (as back up) one on Aug 16th. Later I did get my receipt notices for July 2nd.
Though, I did put stop payment on the checks for the appliaction filled on Aug 16th but yesterday, I received their receipt notices.
Now, I have two A#s one for July 2nd applications and another one for Aug 16th appliaction.
I was planning to just sit on it and do not respond to finger printing notice or any communciation from USCIS for Aug 16th application and hence causing it to get rejected.
The reason I do not want to communicate with USCIS is that I don't want any confusion and hence anything happen to my July 2nd application.
Is it a right strategy? Please comment.

I would like to know some details about EB3.
Currently the priority date for EB3 India is May�01.
My PD is Mar�2004.
When no reforms happen, how long approximately it will take to reach my PD.
I know it is based on how many people applied, yearly and per country limit. Can any one guess or possibly know how we can find about these details about movement such that how many people applied, if it goes on the same speed then how long it will take to move from one year to next year. Can anyone guess?

You said your employer is agreable, in that case, If you did not get your EAD before your current EAD expires, you can choose to work for free for those days and try to get paid for it after your EAD comes in effect.
Or even if you don't get paid for it, you are building some good will and you are not jeopardizing your job. It will definitely keep you in the good books of this employer.

Yes, this is part of the pre-adjudication process. No need to take an Attorney if your case is straight forward - but it really depends on you!
Even though yours and your wife's interview time is different - they will call you together :)....just drop in both the Interview Notices together once in the room.
Take all the documents that you can - both original and photocopies (don't worry if you don't have originals).
We had our interview couple of weeks back and all the officer asked was for photocopies of EVL, W-2's along with Tax returns for last 3 years and birth Certificates.
Hope this helps.

I have chnaged my address twice in last 2 months with USCIS. One change is from zip code xxxxx to yyyyy and other with in the same zip code. Both the time, there was an soft LUD on my I-485. knock on wood, no RFE's as of yet.

In the profile data EAD/AP dates are kind of overkill I guess, even though they are not mandatory fields. They add no/very little value to overall purpose.

Hi..what is "succession of interest" document...is it the actual 'merger' contract ?
Other problem i have is getting hold of an attorny as all are busy with the aug.17th deadliners...let me know any good ones in central,NJ area. Thanks

You need to talk to someone in the law firm (if possible) who did all the paperwork for the merger because they would be the ones to know about this clause. If that's not possible, talk to your HR and ask them to get this clarified from the lawfirm. The succession of interest document is something which your company has to provide to the CIS. I don't know if they would need to attach the merger contract as evidence.

I was the first to show my site, then paddy, then dark and then fern so i really dont see any influence may it be progressive or negative...Hmmm.... I thought paddy was first. Regaurdless that's just my opinion... I mean techincally you were all influenced by the sony site :P. But end dates on things like these types of compitetions are important, what you do is you give a specified time to have them linked up. Give somethin like a 6ish hr gap to have them up or post the link... then close it if they aren't up.

I have used the 11 I94# on the forms. Also on some forms it mentions that you can us I94#. I too have an A number on my 140 but did not use that.
